When it comes to jewelry shopping, Meredith Marks knows what women want. It’s all about building a great base of looks that work with an everyday dress code—whether that daily routine includes helming a new start-up or shuttling the kids around. We caught up with the model turned jewelry designer when she recently showed off her new line in New York. You might say, it was like spending an evening jewelry shopping with a pro who has an eye for how real women dress and want to accessorize their wrists, necks and fingers. She also keeps an eye on real budgets, with stunningly beautiful pieces that range from roughly $2,000 to under $100. The best part: We got to try it all on. Here, we show you some of our favorites.—Sue Perry

We love this Smoky quartz and diamond necklace for a number of reasons. It’s a rich neutral that can work with so many things in a wardrobe. Plus, it’s a piece that can move easily from day to night. The length is adjustable so it can be worn long, like Meredith wears hers above, or closer to the neck. That’s what we call smart!

It’s a tough choice: We couldn’t decide which show stopper to try on for an Instagram moment, so we stacked on the Courtney ring in citrine with sapphires and London blue topaz with rose-cut diamonds. Both make a striking statement that can easily rock a nighttime or a casual look.

How clever is this? The Robin ear drops in black diamonds are sold separately to be teamed with the diamond huggies, shown, or a diamond neckclasp (not shown). We love jewelry that can be transformed into more than one amazing look. In fact, we’d like to update our daily diamond studs with these!

Sometimes we favor just one solo statement bangle over a stack, which is why we love Meredith’s diamond spike cuff. Don’t you?
