As far as the retail stores are concerned, fall is here and we’re seeing red! Lots of it—from bright crimson to deep burgundy to rich, heady shades of wine, red is the hot, new hue peppering the fall fashion palette. Whether amping up a suede bootie or elevating this season’s lush velvet jackets, red lends a bold update to any wardrobe basic. And jewelry is no exception. Like a lot of fashion trends, this is no accident. We did a quick check of Pantone’s Fall 2016 color palette—a playful, but muted twist on typical autumnal shades of blues and mauves, and, sure enough—the one color that popped among the rest was Aurora Red. So no surprise that we’re seeing Aurora Red and versions of it showing up on tons of accessories.
